Many of our satos are small (under 20lb) because Flight Angels bring them to us as pets in carriers.
Please note that we DO NOT adopt outside of a 75-minute radius of the Greater Washington D.C. area.

This cute little girl with the fabulous eyeliner is leggy and gorgeous and has the biggest ears! All the way from Puerto Rico, we think she is a whippet mix. Happy, snuggly, playful and great with all dogs, her favorite pasttime is giving hugs and kisses! She is a snuggler and a hugger and plays great with all dogs. She is playful and ready for any adventure with other pups or you. She would love a yard to play around in, another dog, big or small, and kids would suit her just fine! She settled in her crate for the night and woke up ready to have fun. **See this** cutie on her first day at TRHQ!

Miss Bianca is an adorable little chi mix with the classic giant ears of a sato. This little cutie won the lottery and has arrived!! She is settled into her foster home with Sammie at TR-East. In just a couple of days, she has decided the kitties are friends, Sammie is a good role model and she likes to explore! Rio has the most gorgous eyeline and is a sweet, happy boy who loves routine and the familiar. He loves other dogs and a pack is his thing! Rio would love a fenced yard, a pup to play with and a quieter home because he can become a little overwhelmed in a too busy household. Watch him here on his first day.

Nixxon and her friend, Tommy, were found dumped on a country road in PR. Taken in by one of our rescuers, they have settled in beautifully in the home and are already potty trained, sweet, cuddly and good with other dogs.
They have completed their vetting and have been neutered. Now they are just waiting for a freedom flight.

Piper is cute, happy, sassy and fun. She is a cuddler for sure and is potty trained. She will delight you with her waggy butt and she loves to lay down and ask for belly rubs. She would love a yard to play in and is happiest without a busy household with kids. She just loves to be the center of attention. **Watch her** playing with her friends!

Tommy and his friend, Nixxon, were found dumped on a country road in PR. Taken in by one of our rescuers, they have settled in beautifully in the home and are already potty trained, sweet, cuddly and good with other dogs.

Hugo was everything we remembered. We met him in February and promised a ticket to freedom. He arrived and is getting settled and is loving learning about how good life can be. Hit by a car when he was a puppy and a stray on the street, our PR rescuers took him in and nursed him back to health. Hugo is friendly with people, dogs and cats! Watch this sweet boy as he explores his new world.

This poor boy was rescued from a life chained up outside. He took to home life quickly and learned to love to be held and cuddled and to love quiet, safety and security. He is lovely having his foster brothers around to hang out with. He recently got a make-over! From scruffy and matted street sato to sweet and calm Lord of the home. Golden likes to be cuddled, gets along with other dogs, but is not fond of felines. Watch Goldie when he first arrived in the DMV.

Remember Arturo, now Aartie? Well, after a few weeks of making sure the kids were chill and the cats were kind, he’s decided his foster fam is the real deal… and they’ve made it official! 🐾💛
Aartie is staying put and living his best life out in Loudoun County with his amazing new fam. Congrats, Hannah and crew 🥰Looks like Aartie found exactly where he belongs! **Watch adorable Arturo** on his first day stateside!
