Meet Evonie! 🐾💕. Evonie may be the smaller of the duo, but she has the biggest heart! She and her sister, Honey, arrived stateside in the DMV on January 22nd and are now ready to find their forever home—either together or separately.
As the runt of the litter, Evonie is the more reserved of the two, often looking to Honey for guidance. She may take a little more time to settle in, but once she does, she’s pure love. She’s already potty trained, does great in a crate and playpen, and is currently living with kitties and another pup like a champ!

At just 18 months old and 14 lbs, Ziggy is full of 🐶 love, 💋 kisses, and 🎾 playful energy! He’s happiest in a 🦴 lap, soaking up cuddles, or chasing after his favorite toys. Bonus: He’s house-trained and settles in his crate at night like a good boy! 🏡✨

Meet adorable bonded Chihuahuas mix, 🐶🐶Torro & Pernil (or Spot & Patch!) are simply two peas in a pod 🫛—the yin to the yang ☯️, the PB to the jelly 🥜🍇… you get the gist! Just look at them hugging 🤗 in their matching tees 👕—pure perfection! These sweet boys are ready to fill your February with love ❤️ and cuddles 🥰. Could your home be their perfect match? Pernil (Patch) has the adorable eye patch and Torro is the leaner of the two! These sweet boys are looking for a home together, as that’s all they have ever known. As a bonus, they have lived with cats and other dogs and are very social and friendly with everyone! Torro weighs in at 10 pounds and is more courageous and outgoing; Pernil, at 12 pounds, is the follower! Zambo has the most gorgeous and intense eyes and a wonderful tuxedo chest.. Sweet and loving, he is ready to gain his wings and start his new life here in the DMV. Poor Zambo has been waiting 18 months to get his freedom flight and when we saw him at our rescuers, we couldn’t say no. Zambo is good with both cats and dogs!

This cute fella got added to our travel list along with his brother, Abel! They are both about 30 lbs. and two years old. Rescued on NYE when they were dumped in front of the only Sanctuary in Puerto Rico, we said “yes” to giving them a fresh beginning. They are both happy, fun and social. They will have completed their vetting by the end of January and will wing their way to us then. Stay tuned for more information about their personalities when they land!

On our trips to PR this year, we have met the lovely Patricia a couple of times. She is adorable, friendly, affectionate and playful. She is comfortable around other dogs but loves her hoomans. Medium energy, this cutie is an all-star.

We met this gorgeous giril on our recent trip to PR. A golden retriever mix, she is a dainty 24 lb and two years old. Friendly, affectionate and great with other dogs big and small and has lived with kitties. We are working on her flight details and are hoping it won’t be too long for her to wing her way to us.

This gorgeous Dachshund-Lab mix is a cute and sturdy low rider who is 25 lbs and almost fully grown. Sweet and loving but just a little shy to start, he loves his buddies to play with but is also equally happy to solicit love and hugs from his hoomans! This cutie is learning to settle in the crate for nap time and night time and is an all-around winner.
